Available on CD at £3.99, or via downloads from Amazon and Itunes, the single features Seby Ntege on vocals and is the latest in Mr.Will's journey to blend the feel of West African percussion and mainstream British sounds to create a melody which will appeal to music fans the world over.
The CD features an interpretation of the Ugandan folk song "Obangaina", reworked by the group, as well as the song "Hands Together".
Written in tribute to master drummer Tomas Camara, who first taught Mr.Will and produced djembe drums and rhythms for the Stoke On Trent community, the song was performed in his honour at the Spectrums of Sound show in 2009 and has been a crowd favourite at live performances since.
Also featured is a demo recording of the song "Hello Monday". Recorded in the Gambia in 2008, the arrangment includes djembes and dunduns as the rhythm section, instead of the drumkit. The tune marks a very special musical time with some of the best drummers in the Gambia!
All CDs include the video of "Sing for the Moment". To view this, put the CD into your cd-rom drive and play the file "singforthemoment.mpg."
